Privacy
The generator is designed around no-login calendar generation, client-side output, and a small set of clearly described first-party storage.
Privacy sections
No account required
You can create, preview, print, download, and share supported calendars without creating an account.
Safe local preferences
Local storage is used only for validated non-sensitive settings such as format, date selectors, paper size, orientation, week start, template, blank mode, and notes visibility. The first-party key printable-calendar-generator:safe-preferences:v1 holds these settings, and the key printable-calendar-generator:theme:v1 holds your light or dark theme choice. Both are set without consent because they store only the non-sensitive settings described in this section.
Language preference cookie
The site sets a single first-party cookie, printable-calendar-generator:locale:v1, that remembers your language between visits. It stores the language code only and expires after one year.
Share links
Encoded share links include safe calendar configuration only. They do not include notes text, event text, family label text, recipient emails, analytics identifiers, IP addresses, or user-agent fingerprints.
Analytics (when enabled)
When analytics is enabled, this site uses Umami, a cookieless web analytics service, to count page views and to aggregate the download, print, and share events that rank the popular formats on the homepage. The aggregated events carry calendar settings only, and no advertising trackers are used.
Rate limiting
To protect the save and load endpoints from abuse, requests are rate-limited using the client IP address carried by standard proxy headers. The counters live only in the server process's memory for the length of a rate-limit window (at most ten minutes) and are never written to disk, a database, or logs — nothing about individual requests is retained.
Approximate country from IP
We may derive your approximate country from your IP address to preselect the holiday country. We do not store your IP address.
Saved calendars
Calendar files are saved to your device, so your calendars stay with you — the site no longer offers server-side calendar storage. Calendars previously saved to our server (legacy feature) are kept for three months and are then permanently deleted by a daily cleanup job; until deletion they are reachable only through the ID link.
Your rights
You can clear the local storage keys at any time using the Clear local preferences control on this page. The control removes printable-calendar-generator:safe-preferences:v1, the theme key, and any other namespaced keys this site owns, then shows a visible confirmation.
